Zimbabwe has enjoyed voting since 1980. The trends of voting however have failed to attract new voters as well as retain old ones. The purpose to vote was introduced as a manifest war against the white regime which stood as the trump card than the electoral manifesto. On the 31 of July Zimbabweans, went again to cast their vote one more time, which I believe was for change. This change was not of anything but the way, elected officials have been conducting themselves. Cheaply as liars, only to resurface during election times. I ought to believe that the majority that stood more than the ones who voted joined in my belief that this process is alien to Zimbabwe even have been practised since 1980. It had brought nothing but state of art thieves that hide under the finger of sanctions whilst wining and dining in pools of corruption. What are you going to be remembered for? Is one question people ignore. However the answer to the question begins when one identifies him or herself as a youth in Zimbabwean case. It is not a responds to the common definition of a leader but resonate well being a leader. No one could have said it better, Obama unleashed inspiring venom on not only dictators or himself but all of us but all of us in our spheres of influence. He spoke not like an American but one of us the suppressed living in what I would call neo-apartheid era. The deeply motivating speech, provoked self-introspection of all of us as individuals, individuals remembering Madiba. It removed the sympathetic veil Dictators were wearing yet remembering the life of a cattle boy whose principles and values they dont implement. The recent dilemma visibly shown by the MDC-T during the election period to date has abridged its value among its supporters, who has failed to comprehend the decision making process. She have failed to stand firm for a decision she would have made notably since the COPAC process. Prior elections, the party had shown her followers that she is indecisive as she had hinted that she will not take part in any elections till reforms set in GPA were fully implemented. Surprisingly this call came late after hints that elections were coming on the 31st of August 2013, after wasting 4 years enjoy whims facilitated by their baby national duties. The shocker came as they conducted their primary elections before ZANUPF, in a bid to prove they were ready for elections compared to ZANUPF that looked visibly unorganized to observers terms and not theirs. Academic education becomes compromised when the most learned man fails to understand the basic principles of democracy. Whilst Professor Ncube has let his personal feelings towards Tsvangirai compromise his judgement on the credentials to be Zimbabwe`s president. “MDC-T leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai is not fit to lead Zimbabwe because he does not possess the requisite qualities for President”, MDC leader Professor Welshman Ncube has said in the Herald Newspaper.
