Professor Ncube suffers from Democracy blindness

Academic education becomes compromised when the most learned man fails to understand the basic principles of democracy. Whilst Professor Ncube has let his personal feelings towards Tsvangirai compromise his judgement on the credentials to be Zimbabwe`s president. “MDC-T leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai is not fit to lead Zimbabwe because he does not possess the requisite qualities for President”, MDC leader Professor Welshman Ncube has said in the Herald Newspaper. Am not sure if this judgement comes after MDC-Ts 30 000 star Rally that bemoans the Freedom House findings as just but a mere farce to the people of Zimbabwe towards MDC-T as compared to their Insiza Rally that was shamelessly attended.

It’s a shame that the so much learned man has humiliated himself using the state media to De-campaign Tsvangirai rather than raise himself and his party up.  Democracy being a decision by the people for the people should have simply told his ignorant instincts that that decision is never his but the people of Zimbabwe. The people with the credentials to decide are Zimbabweans, funny of the whole statement was made when addressing his party’s district officials in Chivhu last Friday. It is myopic for a political party to stage a rally and deliberate on other parties than theirs.  The Professor should now understand that this is not a lecture at a campus but driven by charisma that draw followers. The MDC N has now been the zone for relegated MDC T members who also want power but wont accept defeat. The MDC N is suitable as there are so many open seats without even contenders.

My wish to the professor is to stop lying to himself that he can decide that Tsvangirai is not presidential material. Alas dreamers are allowed, as I vividly remember R. G Mugabe statement that Zviroto Zviroto but let those stay on the pillow than bring them to public and state media. I urge him to start delivering his unkown ideology to the people. He has to move from the cocoon to the real world of democracy where the people’s views  and decisions dictate the course of leaders and governments.
