Youth Zimbabwean Dream

A couple of decades ago young people have suffered the predicament of adult culture. A culture that killed their voice the any discourse to mankind. The previous years have seen the imminent rise of young people with a voice to be part of the Zimbabwean discourse. A marginalised group that suffered adult-colonialism and today it is gaining momentum in the Zimbabwe Agenda. In the fight for the participation freedom we have endured loss to our fellow brethren and sisters, endured abuse and many inhumane acts compromising our human rights. We enlighten the adult world enjoying the status quo that rise we will and never fall again for we have endured the pain of the revolution to emancipation and noted the movement to defend the long struggle. We endeavour to do away with the youth at heart-adults, who proclaim to understand us yet establishing a poise to suffice economic enrichment.

Today I unveil my Youth Zimbabwean Dream

I have a dream where young people stand up for their rights and our beloved Zimbabwe will cherish the rights of young people.

Where life is subjected to freedom of speech not limited to speech alone but also after speech

The dream that justice is brought to all mankind in a partial manner than connoted to affiliations of politics and religion

I dream the next generation will not be characterised by ethnic divisions but ethnic unity for all Zimbabwean, where we all cherish the existence of other ethnic groups of Zimbabwe.

I have a dream, that to be a Zimbabwean one has not to be a Zezuru but a nationality of Zimbabwe.

I have a dream where all victims of Gukurahundi are condoned of loses endured and not only them but also those that suffered Operation Murambatsvina, victims of the post harmonised election of 2008.

I dream where a caucus of young people is not politicised but cherished as young people with a common goal for a purpose.

A dream where young people are given equal platform towards the national discourse disregard of ones politics and age

It is my dream that our beloved culture won’t compromise the existence of the coming generation

It is my dream that young people born in Zimbabwe by foreign nationals have the same citizenry rights as those defined as Zimbabweans. That these young people can participate in the electoral processes of the country.

The dream sees empowerment of the girl child and physically disabled youths in the country from a tender age.

A Zimbabwe coloured with love for the existence of young people not as subjects but co-partners in the national discourse. Adults leave the space of young people and respect that space. Young people have the fairest podium to influence policy making. Young people taking up the podium to full engagement.
